Embodied Living & Dying
Presence for humans doing their work by deepening relationship with nature, self, and others.
We offer individuals and groups opportunities to be with what is real and let what is real change us. We educate, coach, and advocate with the goal of increasing capacity and resilience.
Who We Are
Inara Furnari-O’Mara is called to be of service to their community and they feel deep gratitude for the opportunity to connect with individuals during these strange and uncertain times. Inara has been a mover and meditation practitioner for over twenty years. They received a Masters Degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling in 2010, and since then they have found increasingly creative ways to apply their knowledge and experience in a variety of realms of growth and healing from teaching dance and art, working as a life & death coach, ritual facilitator, reiki practitioner, and offering consultation and support to leaders and communities.Inara holds their practice in the same vein as practice within the context of spirituality and ritual. They perceive their work as an act of bearing witness to humanity and a commitment to engaging in ways to decolonize and reimagine the healing process. They wish to support people in cultivating capacity, deepening awareness of their own innate strength and power, and processing experience so as to heal and grow in ways that inform how we choose to show up for the future. A primary focus of their work is relationship and working to identify, examine, and transform our sense of connection to self, nature, and others; drawing out thoughts or stories that aim to demean or diminish the benefits of our awareness and sensitivity and then nurture our unique skills and abilities in the realms of connection and communication. From here, deeply connected to self and the truth of the natural world around us, we can most effectively extend ourselves to others and form community from a place of integrity, autonomy, and sovereignty. As an End of Life Coach and Death Doula, Inara offers support and guidance to individuals and families around end of life, as well as offering ways to drop more fully and earnestly into the daily gift that life is. Inara is committed to their own process of learning, unlearning, and growing, so as to maintain integrity and capacity in all the services they offer. All approaches offered virtually:
Creative explorations: journaling, drawing, painting, sculpture, craft, etc.
Somatic explorations: expressive exercises, mobility, nervous system support through movement.
Nature based explorations: Offering insights and perspectives informed by nature and guiding individuals through their own custom process of connecting more deeply to the natural world.
Grief explorations: Processing and tending to grief of all forms. Digesting loss and finding a source of strength in our capacity to be with the inevitability of loss.
Climate and societal change processing: A more specific form of grief work, we drop into what is real and discover ways to support our systems through the experience of these times and develop an understanding of how we can sustain ourselves as we navigate loss, change, and transformation.
Experience working with LGBTQIA+: gender and identity affirming explorations.
Internal Family Systems: Explore your sense of self by getting to know the parts of you in order to achieve “self leadership.”Inara works in partnership and collaboration with a number of other humans/organizations and will refer folks to them where and when it is deemed appropriate and timely.

The vision of this project is to establish a bioregional structure for rites of passage with the Land in service to the communities of human and non-human relations.Check back over the course of the summer as we post more leading towards a full cohort in Autumn 2026. Energy Exchange Agreement
For your consideration with regard to all of our offerings but primarily for individual offerings. Our group offerings are very intentionally offered for free to ensure accessibility but donations to support the work is always appreciated. This work is sacred. It is not a product, a transaction, or a commodity. It is a shared process — one of presence, courage, and transformation. That being said, we live in bodies, in a world that still relies on money to meet basic needs. We value our time and energy. We also value you — your time, your commitment, and the surrender that this work asks of both of us.
This is an invitation to engage in right relationship — to enter into this work with honesty, care, and reciprocity. Payment, in this context, is not a fee for service. It is a gesture of respect, a form of energy exchange that supports the continuation of this work for all who are called to it.Three Pathways of Exchange1. Monetary Donation (Sliding Scale: $0–$200/hr)
Choose an amount that reflects your financial situation, your access to resources, and your sense of the value this work holds for you.
If you are able to pay more, your generosity helps make this work available to those with less access to wealth. If you need to pay less — or nothing — please know that you are still welcome. Trust yourself. You are not taking advantage. You are participating in a gift economy rooted in mutual care.2. Goods or Services
You may offer a trade — a product or service you can provide that nourishes or supports us in a way we would otherwise pay for. This might include food, bodywork, childcare, land-based skills, or creative offerings. If this feels like a good fit, we can explore it together in conversation.3. Pay It Forward
If monetary exchange or trade aren’t possible, you can offer something beautiful to someone else — a ride, a meal, a chore, a kindness. Let your participation ripple outward. Make it real. Name it. Share it. This too is part of the web of reciprocity. This work is built on trust. If it is time for you to enter into this process, we trust you to discern how to show up — in commitment, in honesty, and in a spirit of mutual respect.
If you’re unsure how to proceed, reach out. We are happy to be in dialogue.
Roots
These intersectional insights, from many teachers, form the foundation of everything that moves through the work of Embodied Living and Dying. The wisdom has already been shared, we only need to draw it into our being and have the courage to be transformed by it.
